The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) has received financing from the World Bank towards the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) will be to Develop a Guideline for Researchers and Faculty on Gender Integration in Research and Teaching. The specific objective of the evaluation is to develop a gender integration guideline to help researchers and teaching staff from the tertiary education institutions in Mozambique to integrate gender dimensions in their research and postgraduate training.

The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology now invites eligible individual consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria is:
- PhD in social sciences or relevant field with at least 5 years of experience. Attach CV and copies of academic certificates.
- Strong research background in gender mainstreaming in science and innovation
- Good understanding of the gender context in Mozambique
- Good understanding of the research and innovation environment in Mozambique and Africa in general
- Experience carrying out similar assignments would be mandatory.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese, preferably based in Mozambique.
