Description
Background
This training supports Mozambican higher education institutions (HEIs) involved in the Rsif/MozSkills program, aiming to strengthen capacity for gender integration in research and teaching. It builds on icipe’s Terms of Reference and national priorities for promoting equality in higher education and research.
Objective
To equip faculty, researchers, gender focal points and institutional leaders with practical knowledge and tools to integrate gender considerations into research design, curriculum, and institutional practice.
Expected Outcomes
Participants will:
- Understand gender concepts and their application in research and teaching;
- Apply gender-sensitive methods in research and curriculum development;
- Develop institutional action points for gender mainstreaming.

Participant Profiles
Each institution nominates 3–4 participants, ensuring gender balance and including the following categories:
- Academic leaders (Deans, Department Heads)
- Gender focal points or heads of social services offices
- Lecturer or Researcher (both STEM and social sciences)
- Head of students’ association
